PPI IMPLEMENTS SURCHARGE

ATHENS, GA, April 5, 2004 - Power Partners is assessing a 2-1/2% surcharge, effective March 1, on all invoices. This surcharge is to partially offset increases in the costs of all major commodity materials (carbon steel, aluminum, copper and oil) used in transformers, and it is applicable to existing blanket contracts. The increase will be reevaluated periodically, based on changes in major commodity prices.
