POWER PARTNERS ENCOURAGES
STRATEGIC ALLIANCES WITH CUSTOMERS
Alliance with the Southern Company Demonstrates the
Benefits
Power Partners encourages customers to form strategic
alliances with our company. Through such relationships,
Power Partners can better understand customers
requirements and work to reduce the overall life cycle
cost of overhead distribution transformers, with shared
savings.
One of the Athens operations longest running strategic
alliances is with the Southern Company, a super-regional
energy company with more than 35,000 megawatts of electric
generation capacity in the Southeast. Through its five
operating companies, the Southern Company supplies energy
to a 120,000 square mile service territory spanning
most of Georgia and Alabama, southeastern Mississippi
and the Florida Panhandle.
In a recent alliance meeting in Athens, alliance team
members from the Southern Company and Power Partners
exchanged information about goals and expectations,
business strategy, new operational initiatives and recent
progress. In a plant tour, Power Partners demonstrated
changes that have taken place at the factory since the
previous meeting of the group. The meeting not only
demonstrated Power Partners commitment to the
Southern Companys requirements for fast, on-time
delivery of high quality, high reliability overhead
transformers, but will also help Power Partners assist
this valued customer.
Utilities who would like to learn more about the benefits
of a strategic alliance with Power Partners are encouraged
to call Tom Lopp, vice president of Marketing, at 706/548-3121,
x401.
